Designers Prabal Gurung, Siriano, LaPointe, Sergio Hudson, & Valentino showed up and showed TF out, as they presented an amazing body of design work on the NYFW runways. PETAL ROSETTES & FLORAL APPLIQUES: Nothing says BLOOM in a new season like the whimsical design work of rosettes. The floral applique is so feminine and can soften up your overall esthetic petal by petal. From ruffled rosette detailed blouses, corsets, belts, & even chokers; this is a trend that will carry well into every season and has a style element that anyone can try.
METALLICS: are yet again on trend! Now this is not the “Rena Rena Renaissance” metallics, but more like splashes of gold & silver metallics focused in unexpected areas on garments. Ralph Lauren’s models graced the runways in lux metallic dresses & designer Brandon Maxwell created the yummiest raw denim jeans dipped heavy in gold metallic, currently available for pre-order on the website. IMO, Metallics are a trend you either love or just kinda like. It’s certainly not always the easiest trend to pull off, but it does looks oh so fly when styled right!
The 2024 Spring/Summer SHEER year is here! Designers Christian Siriano and LaPointe featured beautifully grafted sheer skirts, dress, & blouses; in beautiful bold & bright hues & sexy silhouettes. Sheer garments are easily versatile and are the perfect trend for those hot spring breaks & summer nights! Now, if you are more of a modest queen & would rather dip your toe into this trend vs. dive straight in; try adding fitted shapewear underneath or a simple lace bra to sexy up the sheer vibe.
OVERSIZED BOXY CROP JACKETS & SUITING: The 80’s called & they want you to pack your oversized crop jackets & power suits and report to the trend chat room. I’m super excited to jump back into the suiting style space! After going Full-time remote in 2020, I proudly pushed my corporate suiting waaaaay…… to the back of my closet. My spirit needed a break from the power suits & pumps esthetic often required to work full-time in a hospital setting. So now is the perfect season to reintroduce this trend back into my closet. OPEN WORK KNITS/DETAILS: Intricate Cut Out & Open Knits is the style edge that you didn’t know you needed! Open knits entails a super chic & slight modesty element for those that don’t like exposing a ton of skin, yest still want to feel sexy. Try out this trend by styling open knits, as a swimsuit cover up. If you are loving the vibe; move into a different open-knit garment, such as a maxi skirt, blouse, or duster.
